About me
Jessica Toran is the Director of Education at Naper Settlement and a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience in formal and informal education. She specializes in developing standards-based programs that engage learners through inquiry and immersion. Previously, she served as a 7th grade social studies teacher and History Department Chair in Steger School District 194, and as a historical interpreter at Kline Creek Living History Farm. At Naper Settlement, she collaborates with the curatorial team to integrate humanities scholarship into all facets of educational programming.
