About me
My name is Tamiko Fefee, and I am the Math Curriculum Specialist at South Cook Intermediate Service Center 4. In my position, I focus on coaching teachers in Mathematics. Through coordinating and collaborating with administrators and teachers, I support direct instruction by implementing curriculum, planning lessons, and disaggregating data. I also help determine students’ needs and guide the learning process toward student achievement by collaborating to prepare for targeted small group instruction support. I provide help with classroom engagement that involves both teacher-led and student-led actions. Working collaboratively with teachers to develop systems and structures that allow both the teacher and student opportunities to communicate effectively, gain respect for one another, and obtain a positive rapport is the key to behavioral success in the classroom. With the understanding that in order to have a successful classroom academically, there must be some clear processes teachers can use to create a positive learning environment for students behaviorally, together, I will help to move in this positive direction.
