About me
Khayla Kelley-Morton is an educator, speaker, consultant, and founder of KTKM Consulting, where she partners with schools, districts, and educational organizations to improve student outcomes through engagement-focused instructional practices, educator development, and strategic school improvement initiatives.
With expertise in student engagement, culturally responsive teaching, instructional design, classroom culture, and Career and Technical Education, Khayla works alongside educators and leaders to analyze data, strengthen student-teacher relationships, improve school climate, and create learning environments where students are empowered to succeed. Her work focuses on helping schools move beyond compliance-based approaches to learning by fostering authentic student voice, meaningful engagement, and increased ownership of learning.
As a classroom educator, Khayla has taught Family and Consumer Sciences. Her experience spans curriculum development, instructional coaching, student leadership initiatives, and professional learning facilitation. She is particularly passionate about helping educators connect data to practice, using attendance, engagement, achievement, and climate data to identify barriers to student success and develop actionable improvement strategies.
Khayla holds a Bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education, a Master's degree in Human Services and Program Administration, and is currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has presented professional learning sessions focused on student engagement, school culture, student leadership, equity, and instructional transformation.
Through KTKM Consulting, Khayla supports educators in creating classrooms and schools where students feel seen, heard, valued, and challenged. Her presentations combine research-based practices, real-world experience, and practical implementation strategies that educators can immediately apply in their own settings.
