About me
Andrea Field is the curator of history at Naper Settlement. She holds a MA in public history and a PhD in public history and American history from Arizona State University. Her areas of focus include the overlapping histories of race and economics in the United States, with an emphasis on housing. At Naper Settlement, she works with the curatorial and education teams to provide engaging exhibits, field trips, and public programs. She was a core team member on the IMLS Leadership Grant project Unvarnished: Housing Discrimination in the Northern and Western United States. She is the host of Your Friendly Neighborhood Historian, serves as part of Naper Settlement’s Speaker’s Bureau, and directs teacher professional development.
