About me
Crissy Mombela, M.Ed., is the Director of Programs and Initiatives for the Partnership for Resilience and serves as Program Lead for the Resilience-Supportive Schools Illinois (RSSI) initiative. With over twenty-five years of experience as a special education teacher and administrator, she specializes in building systems that strengthen school climate, support adult and student well-being, and drive meaningful improvement across PreK–12 communities.A recent fellow of the Acosta Institute's healing-centered fellowship, Crissy brings both research grounding and lived practice to her work with educators and school leaders. She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Loyola University and is a certified SEL Facilitator and 200-hour yoga-trained instructor through Breathe for Change.
