Attendees at this session will learn about an innovative approach to serving the needs of MTSS Tier 2 students that centers student agency & skill building through the application of reciprocal support systems and physical spaces.  Attendees at this session will also receive tools and resources that enable school leaders, social workers, psychologists, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and teachers to deploy the model in most school settings.

Writing From the Gutter: Using Comics to Cultivate a Love of Writing

Attendees at this session will receive an overview of a unique approach to teaching writing using comics as well as receive access to 3 weeks of writing curriculum.  Presenters will guide teachers through the writing curriculum while sharing student writing samples & lessons learned.  After attending this session, teachers should be able to implement the 3 week course or various lesson in their classrooms almost immediately.
