South Cook Area Wide Institute Day 2026

In this professional learning session, participants will explore practical strategies for weaving writing instruction into the daily literacy block for grades K–2. The workshop will highlight how shared, interactive, and independent writing can be seamlessly connected to phonics, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development. Teachers will engage in hands-on activities and leave with ready-to-use routines that support students in becoming confident writers while strengthening foundational literacy skills.
